The Mission

At Highland United Methodist Church, we are a community of imperfect people who exist to grow God's kingdom by following the example of Jesus and loving with purpose. All are welcome, as they are!

The Vision

We are deepening our spiritual understanding by embracing diversity, enriching lives, mindfully serving, and bringing joy through music and friendship.

As United Methodists, we inclusively welcome everyone and follow the Wesleyan call to do no harm, to do good, and to love God.

Welcoming Statement

Highland United Methodist Church affirms and welcomes people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, ages, nations, and races. We fully include all in the life and ministry of the church as we seek to share God’s love in Jesus Christ.

Statement on Racial Justice

We are grieved by the countless individuals who are discriminated against and marginalized.  We condemn the systemic structures that allow deaths to disproportionately affect African-Americans.  We affirm the lives of our African-American brothers and sisters and believe they're a part of God's beloved creation.

As a church:
-We commit to battle racism and hatred through education and action.
- We strive to partner with minority organizations to identify meaningful ways to help.
-We embrace love.
-We decry hatred.

We are here to share God's love, help and make the world a better place.
We welcome all.
