Children's Ministry at Highland Methodist

We love our kids at HUMC and are intentional about being a positive place for them to grow in Christ! Check out the many programs we have for kids below, or get in touch with our children's ministry director, Vera.

To raise a Godly generation we are committed to loving each child and creating a variety of purposeful learning experiences using scripture as our foundation and guide.

Sunday School

Every Sunday morning from 9:15-12:15 we provide Nursery care for children 4 weeks to 3 years old in Room 102 as well as Sunday School (9:30-10:30 am) and Children's Church (11 am-Noon) for 4 year olds to 5th graders in Rooms 201, 202 and 207. For Sunday School and Children's Church we currently use The Beginner's Bible curriculum for 4 year old to 1st graders and The Action Bible curriculum for 2nd-5th graders. Kids who attend both SS and CC do an alternate activity/game/craft at CC time.

Babies, toddlers and kids are separated in to three to four age groupings and can expect to eat dinner together, jump in a bounce house, drive ride on cars/scooters, play with toys/games, do a craft and watch a movie while their parent(s) are gone.
